Jack Gibson and Kendra Bishop Win Championships |

Jack Gibson of Fort Erie and Kendra Bishop of Rolling Meadows won their respective divisions on the Titleist Niagara District Junior Tour in 2009. Both players had multiple win seasons as Jack won three events and Kendra won 4 events.
Jack had clinched the overall championship heading into the final event of the season at Beechwood and ended the season well in front of runner up Cody Connor of the Links of Niagara. Third spot was taken by Adam Taylor of the Links of Niagara and fourth spot was Joel Martens of Twenty Valley.
Kendra won the final stop on the tour to secure the overall championship. Second spot was taken by Kennedy Bodfield and third spot was Rachael Wright.
Other highlight of the year and the banquet were the awarding of other honors. Rookie of the Year awards were presented to Kennedy Bodfield and Dylan Heaslip, the Steve "Butch" Fellinger award which goes to the best performance by a left-hander went to Adam Taylor of the Links of Niagara.
Chuck and Judy Smith were present at the banquet to award their annual scholarship to a player graduating who is either going to Brock University or Niagara College and it was presented to Rigel Crozier of Lookout Point. The Can-Am award winners ($250.00 scholarships) were Colin Morgan, Elliott Gdanski, Evan Angi and Nanette Martin.

Kendra Bishop Shoots 79 to Win at Beechwood |

Kendra Bishop capped off her season ending charge with a victory in the final tour stop at Beechwood Golf & Country Club with a fine score of 79. Her nines of 38-41 were good enough for a 3 shot victory over Alexandra Taylor of the Legends. Kennedy Bodfield was third at 83. |

Robbie Ellis Wins at Beechwood Again |

Robbie Ellis of the St. Catharines Golf & Country Club won for the second straight year in the final tour stop at the Beechwood Golf & C. C. on Wednesday, August 19 posting a fine 2 under par score of 70. He had nines of 34- 36 to nip Jonathan Snook of NOTL by one shot. There was a two way tie for third between Rigel Crozier of Lookout Point and Joel Martens of Twenty Valley. |
