The Niagara District Junior Golf Assosiation was formed to provide junior golfers in the Niagara area opportunities to play and learn the wonderful game of golf. The main part is the Niagara Junior Tour which is a series of golf tournaments throughout the summer that the players can participate in. The objective if to have 10 tournaments if possible and this is wrapped up at a final stop with a banquet and awards being presented

The tour is open to all juniors who do not reach their 19th birthday by the last day of the Canadian Junior Championship which is held usually in the first week in August. The tour consists of approximately 65 boys and as many girls that sign up. The qualifying is held at Beechwood Golf & Country Club on Father's Day in June. Once a player qualifies once, they are eligible to play on the tour up until they reach the maximum age. Qualifying information is provided on this site.

The Association also provides many learning experiences including clinics, articles on the website, scholarship guidance and access to all information regarding junior golf. Many graduating players have gone on to golf scholarships in the United States as well as Canada which is starting to provide some assistance to athletes. The Niagara Junior Tour has produced two Ontario Junior Champions,Matt Graham and Jack Gibson, one Ontario Juvenile Champion, David Fulton, one Ontario Match Play Champion, Mark Hicks, along with many other well placed finishers.
